We played the annual Peterborough Rotary Club - Golf Championship for the "Alston" cup on Saturday. It was played at Thorney Lakes Golf Club where Vicky Woodward is Ladies Captain this year. We only had 7 players and of those 2 were guests so a little disappointing. However we only have about 8 Rotarians who play golf in the Club and 5 did turn out so a good % played.
It was an excellent day with very good weather and an super meal afterwards, thoroughly enjoyed by all. Our President Marcus was hoping to join us for the meal and present the prizes but was not able to make it in the end. Our Senior Vice Maureen stepped in and did the honours. The overall winner was Mike McKenna with a very impressive 39 points. The winner of the Alston cup for best Rotarian was Vicky Woodward with 36 points. Full results were:-
